EARLY WORK 1980–1993

After arriving in Manhattan in 1978 to set up a studio I had opportunity to explore many possibilities of creating work from detritus and mixed media approaches. A continuing fascination with texture and dimension on a flat surface continued to engage me, as is shown in these Early Works in NYC. The world and its people with their artifacts are brought to you through a blending of richly textured surfaces, timeless imagery and classical metaphors.
